Set the date and time
After recharging a dead battery or after disconnecting the battery for a few minutes, you
must program the date and time screen.
You can change several device operating parameters in the Internal Configuration Mode.
When changed, these settings become the default power-up settings. You will also see
non-changeable device configurations for technical service purposes.
To enter the Internal Configuration Mode:
1.
Turn the Spot Vital Signs off (
).
2.
Press and hold the Blood Pressure Start/Stop (
) and Power (
) buttons. The
device enters the Internal Configuration Mode and displays the software version.
If the device displays E38, press the Next Patient/Clear/Cancel (
) button to
cancel the error.
3.
Press the Mode (
) button to cycle through the Internal Configuration menu until
you see the date option displayed on the screen.
4.
Use the Next Patient/Clear/Cancel (
) or Blood Pressure Start/Stop (
)
buttons to change the default setting.

Pressure Preset Button
1. Press and hold for a half second.
2. Press again to scroll through presets. After one blood pressure measurement the Spot
Vital Signs returns to the default inflation pressure.
Mode Button
1. Press and hold button down for 2 seconds to turn backlight off/on.
2. Remove temperature probe and press once to switch from oral to axillary mode.
3. Press to bring the Spot Vital Signs out of standby/sleep mode.
Next Patient/Clear Button
Clears all data from the device. Cancels active blood pressure measurement.
Always press the Clear Button before taking vitals on a new patient.
Blood Pressure Start/Stop Button
1. Press to start a blood pressure measurement.
